From Reality TV to the Supreme Court, love is in the air!

But what do we talk about when we talk about love?

In this edition of UNT Speaks out, scholars will offer their perspectives on this age old question.

Featuring:

  • Jenny Caneen, Lecturer, Department of English. Romantic vs. Spiritual Love among the Early Moderns
  • Elizabeth Oldmixion, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science. Love in the Courts from Loving to Windsor.

The UNT Libraries established UNT Speaks Out as a forum for Faculty to create conversations about contemporary issues among all members of the UNT community and Denton County residents. Past topics have included Vegetarianism, Alzheimer’s disease, and Fracking, as well as the annual Human Library event. All events are free and open to the public. The discussions are held in the Forum on the first floor of UNT's Willis Library, which is located one block east of Highland Street and Avenue C at 1506 W. Highland St.
