Resource Type to Hidden
Resource Type, Relation, Format, and Hidden
-Resource Type:- simply choose the category or categories that best represent the primary content of the resource being described. In the case of Portal to Texas History, this element will allow users to limit a search to a specific category of material.
-Relation:- is quite similar to Source, except that a related resource is not necessarily the source for the resource being described. As with the Source element, provide enough bibliographic information for the Relation so that it can be identified. Formulation of the relation element requires paired qualifiers.
-Format:- is also similar to Resource Type, but Format is defined as the physical or digital manifestation of the resource. From the drop-down menu, select the value that best describes the structural type (file type) of the digital manifestation of the object.
-Degree:- does not apply to any other resources, other than the electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs).
-And, finally, we make sure
that the Hidden
check-box is not checked before we click "Save" to save the record.
-Hidden:- if the box is checked when the record is saved, users will not be able to view the record. If you finished creating the metadata record and ready to display your record and images, then un-checked the "Hidden" element, and save it.
