Primary Source to Publisher
Primary Sources, Description, Date, and Publisher
-Primary Sources:- if the resource is considered a primary source (see scholars' definitions), make sure that the check-box beside Primary Source is checked.
-Description:- includes both content and physical descriptions of the resource. Content Description should contain a description of the item's intellectual content or the purpose of the resource. Physical Description, on the other hand, contains a description of the object itself--its height, width, depth, materials, etc.
-Date:- enter dates according to the ISO 8601 standard: YYYY-MM-DD. The Original Resource Creation Date refers to the date that the original (analog or digital) resource itself was made. In contrast, the Digital Resource Creation Date refers to the date on which the digital file was created. For example, 2007-01-16 for January 16th, 2007. If only a year is known, a YYYY entry is acceptable, and circa dates are also allowed, i.e. c. 1875; c. 1875-1900.
-Publisher:- refers to individual or organization that published the original resource. The Name would be that entity's name; the Place of Publication would be the place (i.e., city) where the resource was published; and the Publisher Information would contain any additional information about the publisher.
