Tech Talks Presentation by Lauren Ko, September 16, 2009

Introduction

People now turn to the Web for much of the information they seek.  Unlike the printed word, the content they access there can change or disappear at any moment.  Because of this transient nature, Web archivists attempt to identify, capture, and preserve important pieces of the Web for future audiences.  In this Tech Talk we will explore the motivations, practices, and software that play a part in the field of Web archiving.
