Library on the Go: A Candid Look at the Deployment of Mobile Technology in the Library

Summary

Before we invest resources in deployment of mobile technology, we should understand our users,  their mobile devices, the market share of various operating systems, and any projected future trends.  This presentation provides statistics, considers pros and cons of using the mobile platform for research, and proposes a variety of approaches for enhancing mobile access to library services.
