The Digital Projects Unit operates two specialized printers to support the work of other UNT Libraries departments.
Model: HP DesignJet 5000 PS Large Format Printer
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Company, Palo Alto, CA
Features: prints up to 60-inch width; interchangeable dye and UV inks and printheads; print quality up to 1200 x 600 dpi on glossy media
How we use it: printing UNT Libraries promotional materials as well as scholarly posters, maps, and photographs
Model: HP Photosmart 7550 Printer
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Company, Palo Alto, CA
Features: color LCD allows previews; paper tray holds up to 100 sheets; HP inks and papers resist fading for up to 65 years
How we use it: occasional printing of 8 x 10 and smaller photographs for UNT Libraries departments
