TexShare Cards
The purpose of TexShare is to support and enhance resource sharing among Texas academic and public libraries. TexShare was initially limited to state university libraries, but was expanded by the 75th Legislature to include public community colleges and independent colleges and universities. In August 2000 the public libraries in the state were included in the program. The TexShare library card program enables faculty, students, and staff of participating institutions to use the libraries of other participating institutions.
To be eligible for a TexShare card, you must be either a UNT Faculty/Staff or a currently enrolled UNT student. To apply for a TexShare card, please follow one of the two steps below:
- Go to the Main Circulation Desk on 1st floor Willis Library. Be sure to have your current ID card.
- Send an e-mail request to the Circulation Department or call
(940)565-2413. Please be sure to include your name and your ID number. Your
card will be mailed no later than the next working day to your address of record
with the University.
