Following his education at North Texas (class of 1912), A. B. Jolley worked first as a school teacher and then as a principal before he joined the Texas Agricultural Extension Service in 1919. In 1921 he became the head County Agent for Dallas County, gaining recognition for his advocacy of scientific and innovative farming techniques. In 1953, Jolley retired from the Extension Service and accepted the position of Agricultural Director for KRLD radio and TV studios. In 1967, at the age of 77, Jolley retired from his third career.
