1. What is your food and drink policy?
Fast food items (hamburgers, pizza, etc.), complete meals, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited from being consumed in the Libraries. Items from vending machines and the Cyber Cafe are generally allowed. Please read the Libraries Primary Clientele and Libraries Facilities Use for more information.
2. Can cell phones be used in the Libraries?
Cell phones should be turned off or set to a non-audible signal while you are in the Libraries. Cell phones should be used only in designated areas and you should be considerate of others and keep your conversations short and your voice lowered.
3. What type of wireless access is available in the Libraries?
Wireless access is provided through the University's CITC department and is generally available in all campus buildings as well as the Library Mall to UNT students, faculty and staff.
4. Can I leave my bicycle inside the Libraries?
Bicycles may not be left in any of the Libraries facilities. Use available bicycle racks in front of the buildings.
5. Can animals be brought into the Libraries?
Only service animals are permitted in any of the Libraries facilities.
6. Are library tours available?
Contact the Libraries User Education Librarian at 940/565-4812.
7. Are there designated quiet areas of the Libraries?
Each of the Libraries facilities has noise level designations. Please read the Noise Policy for specific areas that should meet your needs.
8. Are there designated group study areas in the Libraries?
The first floor of Willis Library on the north end of the building is a designated group study area.
11. Are smoking and tobacco products permitted in the Libraries?
Smoking and tobacco products are not permitted in the Libraries. University policy prohibits smoking in all campus buildings and within 20 fee of the entrance of any campus building.
12. Are the Libraries open to the public?
Any individual may use materials within the guidelines established by the libraries within the appropriate buildings/areas. materials are checked out only to persons with proper and authorized identification. 13. Are children permitted in the Libraries?
All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
